DOI: 10.1177/1077559599004002007 How Child Welfare Workers Assess and Intervene Around Issues of Domestic ViolenceUniversity of Minnesota, Duluth
University of Minnesota, Duluth Research shows a close connection between domestic violence and child maltreatment. In recent years, there has been an increased recognition of this by child welfare professionals. However, little empirical work has been done on the actual assessments and interventions of frontline child welfare workers in relationship to domestic violence. Through surveying public child welfare workers in a Midwestern community, this article examines these issues.
